Toby Peecock

I started writing short stories when I joined Dot Schwartz’s ‘Innovations’ writing course. It was a little daunting at first, having written very little since my O level English. But Dot inspired and encouraged me, and I did the course for two years running. At Innovations I made some really good friends. Some of us went on to form Ellipsis. Meeting regularly, Ellipsis offers a great opportunity to get, and give, constructive criticism for the work we bring in, and the work we do in the sessions. It's also a great chance to catch up over a pint in the Turnip and Truffle, or what ever it's called. I've sent some of my stories to writing competitions and, although still un-published, have had some work 'highly commended'. I am working on writing longer stories, and developing my characters.
